CEMETERY OFFICE MOVE

NEW TELEPHONE 508-399-8440

On Monday March 1st, St. Stephen’s Cemetery office

will move to St. Mary’s Rectory (behind St. Mary’s Religious Education Center) 385 Central Avenue

(Rte. 152).  St. Stephen’s parish office will remain active here in our Rectory until the new parish is created.

This move should help facilitate an easy transition while both existing offices are still active.

 

Remembering & Grieving Committee

Your Committee met last week and continued to plan some final events for our parish.  There is a Tazie Prayer Service scheduled for Tuesday evening March 9th at 7:00 PM.  There is also an evening set aside for story-telling and remembering St. Stephen’s long history as a faith community.   The date for that event with be Saturday, March 20th, in our church hall beginning at 6:30 PM with coffee and desert, followed by a program of remembering at 7:00 PM. 

 

 

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION

The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be held at

St. Mary's for members of the First Holy Communion

class on the following dates:

Group 1 - Saturday, March 6th at 1:00 PM.

Group 2 - Saturday, March 13th at 1:00 PM.

Please have children in Church by 12:45 PM.

Parents/Guardians please stay with your children.

 

 

Stations of the Cross

This Friday at 5:30 PM, Stations of

the Cross will be held weekly at

St. Stephen’s Church, and will continue

to be held each Friday during Lent at 5:30 PM.

 

 

TAIZE LENTEN EVENING

Please join us for an evening of music,

prayer, scripture, and quiet meditation on

Wednesday evening March 9th, at 7:00 PM. 

This wonderful spiritual event will be

presented by Sue & Phil Fortin.

 

 

GREETERS & COLLECTORS

There will be a meeting at St. Mary’s

Church on Tuesday March 2nd at 7:00 PM

for Greeters & Collectors from both our parishes.

Founding Ritual Committee

The members met last Sunday and identified sub-committees for the different parts of the ceremony including enviromental design & decoration, program booklets, lay ministrers, and communications to name a few.   Plans are moving along well.  Pictured above seated L-R are Katie Malo, Patti Rose-Donahue, Jeannette Arrighi, Bernie Pearson, standing L-R, Rhea White, Dennis & Mary O’Brien, Carol Carignan, Mike Macedo, Fr. PHOTOS WANTED:   Do you have pictures from your early days at St. Mary's/St. Stephen's?  If so, we would love to hear from you.  As our two parishes become a new faith community, the Remembering Committee is putting together a DVD look back. If you have photos that you would be willing to have become a part of the DVD, please place your photos in an envelope, addressed to Tom Thibodeau and leave them in the Sacristy.  Please include your contact information so that we may return them to you.
